Excursion Fever

Excursions add sparkle to life.

Sometimes we get stuck in ruts, doing the same routines day in and day out.

An excursion , especially if it is out-of-town, shakes things up a bit and in a positive way.

Recently, to celebrate my youngest sister's birthday, there was a lunch at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

It's a quintessential New England Inn in every aspect.
In the middle of each table sat a vase with living flowers which gave a special touch to a special occasion.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF A PERFECT BIRTHDAY LUNCH?

There is a non fancy, down-home-type restaurant about two hours away where they serve large portions of country cooking and toss huge rolls at you. Locals call it Throw a Roll.

Love celebrating my birthday with friends and family. The choice of a restaurant is usually Chinese...

A perfect birthday lunch to me means being with those you cherish...and it really doesn't matter where you are, all though some place peaceful and without all the commercial hype would make it more special and intimate.
